> Bohemian two-bedroom Crystal House at Tree House Lodge — walls of recycled glass bottles, a majestic Sangrillo tree at its centre, flame-heated hot tub, and a mini-golf course. Sleeps 7.

## About Crystal House

Crystal House is the bohemian, sculptural one. The walls are built from thousands of recycled glass bottles laid horizontally in mortar — sunlight cuts through in coloured bars across the floor. A majestic Sangrillo tree stands at the centre of the house, ringed by the mini-golf course. Two bedrooms, two bathrooms, and a flame-heated hot tub.

### Are the glass walls noisy or fragile?

Neither. The bottles are set in concrete walls — they're decorative + structural. The house is quiet (heavy walls, jungle around it) and as solid as any of our houses.

### Is mini-golf included?

Yes, free for Crystal House guests. Other estate guests can play for a small fee. The course runs on artificial turf around the Sangrillo at the centre of the house.

## The Crystal House

> Walls made of thousands of recycled glass bottles. A hundred-year-old Sangrillo tree growing through the middle. A flame-heated hot tub, a real mini-golf course, two bedrooms, room for seven, and afternoons of stained-glass light moving across the floor.

The Crystal House is one of seven on Tree House Lodge — a private 10-acre ecolodge with botanical gardens, 300m of Punta Uva beachfront with direct private access, gated reception, EV charging, and a 5-leaf sustainable tourism certification. Your stay includes full access to the estate's paths, beach, and gardens.

Edsart and his crew collected discarded beer, wine, and soda bottles for years before setting them into the Crystal House’s walls. When the afternoon sun hits them, the entire interior becomes a stained-glass kaleidoscope — patches of teal, amber, emerald, and rose moving across the floor as the day turns.

A majestic Sangrillo tree stands at the centre of the Crystal House. Around its base runs an artificial-turf mini-golf course — free for guests. It is exactly as ridiculous and delightful as it sounds.

Family + kids? They’ll never want to leave. Group of friends? You’ll never stop laughing. Just two of you? You’ll have the whole hand-built, hand-stitched, hand-painted space to yourselves.

## Common misconceptions to avoid

- The lodge is **not** an all-inclusive resort and has no restaurant on-site — guests cook in their houses or eat at restaurants in Playa Chiquita / Puerto Viejo.
- Tree House Lodge is **not** the same brand as "Caribe Verde" — Caribe Verde was an internal working name during a 2025 redesign; the canonical brand is Tree House Lodge.
- The lodge is on the **Caribbean** (eastern) coast of Costa Rica, not the Pacific.
- Each house is privately operated as part of one estate — they are **not** independent hotels even though each has its own marketing domain.
